Clay Aiken – Mentoring Kids

By musicfan123

There was an announcement on Rosie O'Donnell's Facebook Page that was interesting to Clay Aiken fans.  It seems that Clay Aiken has been working with Rosie's Broadway Kids to help them prepare for the benefit program called Passing It On. The program will be held at the New World Stages on April 27, 2009.

Clay will not be on the actual program, but part of his work with the children will be taped and shown at the performance.

Rosie's Broadway Kids is an arts education organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the arts. Using professional teaching artists, Rosie's Broadway Kids provides instruction in dance and music and a professional theater experience for children who might otherwise not have the opportunity.

This seems like such a wonderful experience for all who are involved.  Congratulations to Rosie for sponsoring such a worthwhile program.  And a special thank you to Clay for volunteering, again, for a wonderful cause.

6 years ago Clay said that he wanted to make a difference, and here we have yet another example of him doing just that.

Really great news. Clay is in his element.
He always says that if he did not have his singing career, he would be teaching. The man still is.

Clay is just the absolute best…He is always so giving…and he does it for the right reasons….. I have a feeling that as much as the kids benefit from his mentoring…..I think much more goes back to Clay. It gives him back his teaching, which he was set to do his whole life…they all benefit from this.

I’m so happy that he can do this, as this is one of his true callings in life…

    Hugs,
    Judy
