Clay Aiken!! Listen to your Mom!!

Bob and the Showgram, a radio show on G105, had an interview on April 20th with Faye Parker, the lovely mother of superstar, Clay Aiken. She was joined by Penn Holderness of NBC17 to talk about "Dancing Like The Stars", a fundraiser being held next week for The Bubel/Aiken Foundation.
A Step to Gold International Ballroom and The Bubel/Aiken Foundation will host the fundraiser at the Southern Women's Show on April 26, 2009. Local Raleigh celebrities have been practicing with their dance partners in hopes of winning and raising lots of money for TBAF.
We thought that you might enjoy hearing Faye as she chats about the fundraiser, TBAF, and her famous son.

I heard Faye mention Broadway. I’d love for Clay to do another show, but not until after he’s sung to us again on the concert stage. I really, really want a pop tour and hope that’s part of the negoiations Faye spoke about.

It was fun listening to Faye on this spot. She is so down to earth and quick witted like her son. I find her dedication and commitment to the Bubel/Aiken Foundation inspiring. I appreciated the brief but encouraging scoop on Clay and that negotiations are in the works. Can’t wait to see and hear more of him.
That was nice interview, and it sure sounds like they are having fun. Good for Faye..she really is a lovely lady.
When asked what Clay was doing..she kind of hesitated..almost like she didn’t know what to say, and didn’t want to say something she shouldn’t… That is how it came across to me. I have a feeliing she is very open and honest, but is realizing that she shouldn’t say much about his career, while he is in negotiations… But she didn’t say anything that we didn’t know already…Clay told us that he had people coming to him in regards to plays, tv and music…so I’m glad actually that she didn’t let anything out before it should be said… I believe he is entertaining all avenues of his career.
Really nice interview with Faye, she really is a sweet lady.

Loved that interview. They were talking about somebody who will be dancing in Dancing With The Stars..and she said “He can shake his booty.” Funny! No wonder Clay has such a sense of humor, it runs in the family.
