Clay Aiken – Let’s Go Holiday Shopping!

Whether you want to admit it or not, for many people, Christmas is about presents!  Children run to the tree on Christmas morning, hoping to see lots of gifts from Santa!!  Some adults start buying gifts early in the summer while others who procrastinate, run to the mall in the week before the holiday!

Christmas’s gift-giving tradition has its roots in the Three Kings’ offerings to the infant Jesus. The magi traveled to Bethlehem to present Christ gifts. Some Eastern Orthodox Churches and European countries still celebrate the traditional date of the Magi’s arrival — January 6 or Three Kings’ Day — with a Christmas-like gift exchange.

Santa Claus, the popular bearer of gifts, started popping up in ads and stores about 1850. By 1867, the Macy’s department store in New York City stayed open until midnight on Christmas Eve, allowing last-minute shoppers to make their purchases.  Today, Christmas is a bona fide gift-giving bonanza.

Many fans of Clay Aiken try to shop for gifts that have more meaning than some other presents.  They look at the different organizations that have meaning to Clay and see if there is a way that they might help.

The following sites all have interesting gifts for Christmas.  Each site has many things that would put a smile on faces on Christmas Day.  Please check them out.  It’s a win-win situation!

  1. Thanks for the idea of shopping at the National Inclusion Project website. I just saw a couple of great gift ideas. I have not visited the store since the renaming of the Bubel/Aiken Foundation. I love the key hook especially.

  2. Thank you Musicfan for all the suggestions for gifts.

I know kids would prefer toys and such, and that is ok, but I do find as I grow older, it's more important that I get gifts that will somehow give back… It's funny how we want to make sure things improve for people. Clay has taught me this. I never use to think about it years ago, I would just go out and buy things at the store. Now I look at things differently.

Great ideas, and I'm going to go and check them out….thank you for that.

    Hugs,
    Judy

  3. Great ideas for my Christmas list. Shopping at National Inclusion site will bring a smile to Clay Aiken's face!

  4. Thank you for all the gift idea's. I think those tickets to the Mesa Arizona Concert sound like a good deal..only $24. If you know of someone who would love to go to this concert..but, can't afford it..there you go. Also, if there are some fans who wanted to go to this concert..at these prices..maybe you can go now. Just some suggestions.

  5. Just tried to go on at MesaCenter for concert in AZ, could not find anywhere to purchase clay tickets, seems this venue date was not included on list of those available for special BLACKFRIDAY option
