Clay Aiken hosted a wonderful event on Monday.  Everything was planned and put together with a great deal of care.   The event gave us education, friendship, comedy and the best singing around.  Having just gotten home, I have just begun to check out the comments and "Clack" that are all about the wonderful concert that Clay Aiken gave on Monday night.  Seems like we are headed for a wonderful ride.

Nothing seemed more appropriate than to say no more and just put up some wonderful videos.  I know you can get them many places.  However, I don't think you can see them too often.  Enjoy!!

1866168How’s your golf swing?? Is your putter packed?? Are your golf shoes shined?? If so, you must be ready for the 2nd Annual Golfing For Inclusion event.

Created to benefit the Bubel/Aiken Foundation, the event will take place on January 26th, 2009 at the Mirasol Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Beginning with the 10:00AM registration, you can spend the entire day playing golf and hoping to spend some time with PGA Professional Wayne Player and Clay Aiken. The dinner and awards will be followed by a performance by Clay. What will he sing? Who will accompany him?? Well, those questions have not been announced yet.

The foundation has a limited amount of tickets if you are not into golf but you want to join in the evening dinner and entertainment. They are $250.00.

Last year, Clay looked like he was learning about the game of golf and seemed to be a good pupil as Wayne tried to teach him about the proper way to swing the golf club. Maybe Clay has been practicing, or maybe he will just chat with the golfers and enjoy the beautiful setting.

Each person in attendance will be supporting the TBAF’s mission of inclusion for children with disabilities.

The first Golfing For Inclusion event was very successful. Through the participation of the golfers and their guests, over $60,000 was raised to support the programs of the Foundation.

Aron Hall, the Director of Services at the Bubel/Aiken Foundation just posted some exciting items for the on-line auction. These items include an opportunity to play golf with Wayne Player for 4 people, two wonderful 2009 Masters packages, and some wonderful Clay memorabilia. The Carolina Hurricanes “Aiken” Hockey Jersey is bound to be a huge hit as well as the “Proud of Your Boy” Original Score, signed by both Clay and Alan Merkin.

Aron reported in his latest post that there are still a few spots open to play in the tournament. For those who are golf fans or a fan of Clay Aiken, this seems like a great way to start the year.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to hear the reports of this great event. Maybe I need to take up golf. The most important question this year ……….will Clay be wearing a bowtie??
